Lifesteal Factions is a combination of two popular PVP Gamemodes, Lifesteal and Factions. We also do our best to add a twist to this genre by combining the two to make them dependent on each other, while also adding some new, interesting mechanics. Find out all the new mechanics added down below.
Lifesteal Mechanics

- Upon death, the player will drop one of their permanent hearts. The player can lose all but 3 of their permanent hearts, but also gain up to 20 maximum permanent hearts.
- Hearts can be obtained in 3 ways:
- Crafting Hearts.
- Killing other Players for their Heart.
- Withdrawing from your Hearts.
- Hearts are an extremely vital part of our faction system as well as determining how strong you are in PvP.
Creating a Faction
- Creating a faction requires the leader to sacrifice one of their permanent hearts.
- Creating a faction will give the leader a Heart Core, the heart of their faction base. Heart cores will be explained more in depth below.
- Factions are restricted to 8 players upon creation, but more slots can be bought from the Heart Core upgrade system.
- You can set your faction as invite-only or open, all factions created are invite-only by default.
The Heart Core
Heart Cores

- Heart Cores are the health of your base, and must be protected at all costs from invader and enemy factions otherwise you can lose ally our claims.
- Heart Cores are placeable items with health that allow your faction to claim land, and initially claim a 3x3 chunk around the placed heart core. Without a core, your faction cannot claim any land at all, and will lose all existing claims if it is killed.
- Heart Cores start with 20 health and 20 heart points. You must sacrifice permanent hearts to the core in order to add more health and heart points.
- Heart Points are the currency used for Factions. You use them to claim more land, purchase upgrades in your Heart Core, and purchase upgrades for your Faction.
- Heart Cores are only weak to Melee attacks and should be protected at all costs.
Heart Core Upgrades
- You can use
Heart Points to purchase upgrades through your Heart Core. Upgrades will benefit your faction and your claimed chunks.

- Current Upgrades that you can purchase are:
- Health Regen Speed - regenerates your heart core health faster.
- Health Regen Amount - increases the amount of health regenerated by 0.5 hearts per level.
- Faction Rename - Rename your faction.
- Mute Core Sound - Removes the ambient core sound.
- Raid Shield - Protects your faction from being raided for 24 hours.
- Additional Warps - Allows your faction an additional warp per purchase.
- Member Slots - Increases your member slots by 10 for your faction.
- Beacon Aura - Gives all your claimed chunks a Beacon Aura and applies all beacon effects to them.
- Haste 2, Regeneration, Strength 2, Jump 2, Speed 2, Resistence
- If your heart core has been destroyed in a War, you'll instantly lose all of your claimed chunks and players are able to loot everything. The faction leader can get another Heart core after 5 minutes from
/f heartcore claim.
Player & Faction Reputation
The reputation system is a Work in Progress with a basic system setup for now. Currently it is only an indicator of how trustworthy a player or faction can be, but we may introduce new mechanics to this system at a later date.
Player Reputation
- Player's actions can leave them with either positive or negative reputations. These are indicated by the icons above player's heads and in the Faction Scoreboard.
- Player reputations decide how trustworthy a player can be, and also determine what level a Faction's reputation is.
- Positive Reputation:
- Killing enemy faction members
- Killing players who've recently slain your faction
- Negative Reputation:
- Killing Factionless players
- Killing non-enemy faction players
Faction Reputation
- A faction's reputation is determined by the grand total of all your faction member's reputation.
- An example being, if your faction had 4 members; 3 of the members had positive reputation sum of 14, but the fourth member had a negative reputation of -20; your Faction reputation would be Friendly (6).
- Faction Reputations will denote friendly factions, ones less likely to randomly kill you.
- Faction Reputation can also be effected by the amount of Enemies or Allies your faction has, with enemies being negative and allies being positive.
Enemy & Ally System
Ally System
- Faction Allies are factions you have trust or common goals with that you can give specific permissions to do things in your faction's claims such as use farms, interact with the claims or entities, and even build or break in claims.
- Faction Allies can also team up during War to raid a target together.
Enemy System
- Faction Enemies are factions you've declared as your enemy. This is the first step required for our War system.
- Enemies can give your faction positive reputation during PvP fights.
War System
- War is the core mechanic of raiding other factions. In order to go to War with another faction, you both must have declared each other as enemies.
- Declaring War on a faction must be strategic as once declared, you'll have
1 Hour to destroy their Heart Core(or defend yours) before War is marked over.
- There is a timer on the Boss Bar which will denote the time left in the War.
- If no Heart Cores have been destroyed before the timer runs out, the war will be declared over and the defenders will be awarded Heart Points.
-
During War, certain actions become possible in claims such as:
- Placing and Igniting TNT and TNT Minecarts
- Using Doors/Buttons/Levers/Pressure Plates
- Placing Ladders
- Using Enderpearls
- Mining/Placing Obsidian & Crying Obsidian
- PvP is Enabled
- Explosions will break blocks
- Placing Lava and Water
- Using End Crystals
Reminder: Heart Cores can ONLY be damaged by Melee damage. Projectiles and Explosions will not count as damage towards it.
-
If you successfully destroy the Faction's Heart Core, all of their claimed land will be unclaimed, and everything will be available to be looted.
SafeZones & Admin Shops
PvP Loot Keys System
- Our Grave system has introduced a new PVP Key mechanic, similar to Runescape's Loot Key system.

- In PVP Deaths, you'll now drop a Loot Key which will contain all the slayed player's gear and inventory.
- You must bring your Loot Key to the SafeZone Loot Chest to open it and loot their inventory.

- Holding Loot Keys in your inventory will put a Skull Icon above your head for each Loot Key you're holding.
- You will also start Glowing and can be seen through walls
- You will also be in a permanent state of PVP Tag and cannot teleport or disconnect.
